Carbon brushes

CARBON BRUSH LEADING MANUFACTURER

A carbon brush is a sliding contact used to transmit electrical current from a static to a rotating part, in a motor or generator, and as regards DC machines, ensure a spark-free commutation.

Carbon brushes are maintained by brush-holders to be in permanent contact with the slip ring assembly or with the commutator. Mersen offers a wide range of carbon brushes for all types of motors, generators and alternators, grounding devices and current and signal transmission.

Our local expert network can support you in the choice of the appropriate brushes for the best performance of your machines thanks to our wide range of grades and design.

Our standard production range meets the requirements of international standards (ISO 9001, IEC, NEMA, DIN).
